Paul Hastings Advances Global Infrastructure and Energy Practice with Addition of Experienced Energy Transactions Partners in Houston

Houston  Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that experienced corporate and energy transactions lawyers Luis Fernando Gomar and Rocio Guadalupe Mendoza have joined the firm’s Houston office as partners. They join from Baker & McKenzie. Their arrival adds further depth to Paul Hastings’ Infrastructure & Energy practice in the U.S. and Latin America, as well as advancing the growth of the firm’s Energy Transition & Infrastructure team and strong presence in Houston.

Mr. Gomar comes to Paul Hastings with over 15 years of experience advising on domestic and cross-border conventional and alternative energy transactions. He regularly counsels clients with M&A, asset acquisitions and divestitures, fund formations, joint ventures, project development and structured finance. He also advises energy companies on EPC, supply agreements, offtake and feedstock arrangements. In addition, Mr. Gomar assists project sponsors and developers with structured finance and capital raising transactions. He also has significant experience representing clients on investment and expansion opportunities in the United States and throughout Latin America.

Ms. Mendoza advises on a diverse range of domestic and international energy-related transactions and projects, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and project development. She routinely works with upstream oil and gas as well as midstream clients in transactions involving conventional, unconventional, onshore and offshore resources. She has also advised sponsors in the development, acquisition and divestiture of renewable energy projects.
