May 28, 2026

ATLANTA – Paul Hastings LLP today announced a key addition to its premier global Energy & Infrastructure practice with the arrival of energy regulatory partner Tyler Brown at the firm’s Atlanta office.

Joining from King & Spalding, Brown regularly advises clients on regulatory aspects of project development, contract, tariff, rate and compliance matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, other energy regulators and state public utility commissions. He has spent his career representing clients in commercial and regulatory matters in the energy industry, having held senior in-house counsel positions for a number of companies in the oil and gas and pipeline sectors prior to his tenure at King & Spalding.

“Tyler is a very skilled and experienced adviser in the critically important energy sector,” said Energy & Infrastructure Co-chair Robert Freedman. “Expanding our global energy and infrastructure platform is a strategic priority for the firm, and our additions in key offices in the U.S. and globally continue to strengthen this cornerstone practice. Tyler’s breadth of skills and industry knowledge further enhance our ability to serve current and future clients in a complex and evolving industry.”

Brown advises companies across the pipeline and energy transmission sectors, including utilities, LNG project developers, energy marketers and financial institutions. He counsels on all aspects of pipeline construction, from regulatory approval and commercial agreements to any subsequent pipeline safety issues. He also negotiates transportation, processing, storage and sale agreements. In addition, Brown has extensive experience related to the development of hydrogen as a zero-emission, energy-dense alternative to gasoline.

“The opportunity to join a premier group of practitioners doing exceptional Energy & Infrastructure work on a global scale is one I could not pass up,” said Brown. “And the firm’s focus on elevating the E&I practice through significant, innovative projects makes my transition to Paul Hastings all the more exciting.”
