Paul Hastings Bolsters Global Funds Practice With Addition of Premier Chief Legal Officer in New York

NEW YORK – In a move that further strengthens the firm’s premier global funds platform and ability to advise the world’s leading asset managers on their most significant and complex matters, Paul Hastings LLP today announced that Serge Todorovich has joined as a partner in New York.

Todorovich arrives from Shenkman Capital Management, a leading traditional and alternative credit manager, where he was chief legal officer and chief compliance officer. Prior to his time at Shenkman, he held several in-house roles, including assistant general counsel at Goldman, Sachs & Co. and associate general counsel at Eton Park Capital Management, and previously practiced at Shearman & Sterling.

Todorovich counsels fund sponsors and institutional investors on the establishment and ongoing operation of private funds, focusing on multi-asset credit funds, distressed credit funds, private credit funds, and hedge funds, as well as regulatory and compliance matters, fund financings, and derivatives and structured product transactions, including rated note funds.

At Shenkman, he advised on the establishment of numerous customized separately managed account and fund-of-one mandates with institutional investors, including insurance companies, corporate and public pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations and family offices.
