Paul Hastings Named American Lawyer ‘Litigator of the Week’ Runner-Up for $56 Million Jury Verdict for AbbVie and Subsidiary Allergan

A Paul Hastings IP team earned runner-up in The American Lawyer’s “Litigator of the Week” recognition for securing a jury verdict for Allergan Inc. on all three asserted patents in a litigation against Revance Therapeutics Inc. relating to a product sold by Revance that competes with Allergan’s Botox product. The jury awarded $56 million in upfront payments based on a 27% reasonable royalty damages rate.

Global co-chair of the Intellectual Property practice Eric Dittmann led the Paul Hastings team, which also included partners Melanie Rupert and Isaac Ashkenazi and associates Krystina Ho, Carl Minniti, Karthik Kasaraneni, Vladimir Semendyai, David Valente and Amanda Taylor.
