Paul Hastings Names McKinsey Leader as Chief Innovation Officer

Paul Hastings LLP announced today that Anya Tarasova has joined the firm as chief innovation officer. Tarasova arrives from McKinsey & Company, where she held a series of leadership roles, most recently leading the McKinsey Transformation Practice’s Innovation and Incubation efforts.

Tarasova’s work centers on technology- and AI-enabled organizational transformation. She brings to Paul Hastings more than two decades of experience harnessing data, analytics and innovation to drive change and accelerate growth, including leading McKinsey’s enterprise-wide adoption of AI.

As chief innovation officer, Tarasova will focus on leveraging AI, technology and data to help build the next generation of legal services and further enhance the firm’s operations and the intellectual capital and value it delivers to clients. She will play a key role in reinforcing Paul Hastings’ position as one of the industrys most nimble, forward-looking and dynamic firms as the legal sector continues to evolve.

Tarasova joined McKinsey in 2002. Most recently, as senior asset leader for Innovation and Incubation in the Transformation practice, she was responsible for setting innovation strategy and reimagining the approach to client service delivery. Previously, as global director of Digital/AI Rewiring the Firm, she led the consulting firm’s technology and AI initiatives, including strategy development, enterprise AI adoption and upskilling efforts, and the modernization of key functions. Earlier in her career, Tarasova served as convener and client activation director for Global McKinsey Digital and director of strategy and operations for McKinsey Digital North America.
