June 02, 2026
DALLAS and ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. – In a move that further elevates its elite global corporate platform in Texas and nationally, Paul Hastings LLP today announced the addition of leading Capital Markets and Public Company Advisory partners Charles T. Haag and Justin Reinus in Dallas and Orange County, respectively.
Joining from Winston & Strawn, Haag and Reinus bring over 40 years of combined experience advising clients across industries on corporate finance transactions, corporate governance matters, disclosure obligations and other public company advisory matters.
“The addition of Charlie and Justin further elevates our capital markets, public company advisory and cross-practice REIT platforms with premier talent who act as the trusted advisors to boards and the c-suite of public and private clients on their most sophisticated and complex matters,” said firm Chair Frank Lopez. “Their arrival is an instrumental next step in continuing our strategic build in Texas."
Haag, who served as co-chair of Winston’s public company advisory practice, is consistently recognized as one of the country’s top capital markets attorneys. He advises companies on public and private equity and debt offerings, tender offers, spin-offs, reorganizations, and mergers and acquisitions. He also regularly represents clients in corporate governance matters, including fiduciary duties and SEC filings. Haag’s experience spans a variety of industries, including REITs and real estate, consumer products, energy, retail, technology, construction and financial services.
Reinus advises clients on initial public offerings and other equity offerings, as well as high yield, investment-grade and convertible debt offerings, tender offers, exchange offers, spin-offs and other capital markets transactions. Additionally, he counsels companies on corporate governance issues and compliance with reporting obligations under U.S. federal securities laws and stock exchange rules. Reinus works extensively with REITs and other real estate-focused companies, and he has experience in the construction, restaurant, manufacturing, retail and technology industries.
“We’re excited to take part in Paul Hastings’ accelerating momentum in the securities and capital markets space,” said Haag. “Our clients and experience, particularly with REITs and real estate, strategically complement the firm’s existing platform, and we look forward to enhancing its strong base of public company clients throughout the industries we serve.”
Haag’s and Reinus’ clients have included CAVA Group, Chuy’s Holdings, Farmer Bros. Co., FTS International, Granite Construction, NexPoint Advisors, NexPoint Residential Trust, NexPoint Real Estate Finance and VineBrook Homes Trust, among others.
The duo’s extensive experience and client relationships add to Paul Hastings’ expanding public-company advisory and capital markets client roster, which grew nearly 40% over the past year, from 85 to 118 public companies.
