Six Paul Hastings Lawyers Named to Billboard’s 2026 Top Music Lawyers List

Billboard recognized six Paul Hastings lawyers in the music, funds and finance fields among its 2026 Top Music Lawyers. Featured on the annual list of “the savviest legal minds in the business” are partners Sidney Fohrman, Shawn Kodes, Matthew Nemeth, Max J. Rosenberg and Susan Williams and of counsel Hayley Silvertown.
Sid is a partner in the Entertainment, Sports & Media group, and chair of the Music Industry practice, for which Hayley serves as lead counsel. Susan chairs the Entertainment, Sports & Media Finance practice. Shawn is co-chair of the Asset-Backed Finance practice. Matthew is a partner in Asset-Backed Finance and Max is a partner in Funds & Private Capital.
In the past year, the team advised on more than $5 billion in music catalog acquisitions, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, equity investments and asset-backed financings, including Primary Wave’s acquisition of Kobalt and formation of its $2.25 billion IP Fund IV, the TikTok U.S. Data Security Joint Venture, Too Lost Music’s strategic investment led by Goldstate and TA Associates and the acquisition of the Weeknd’s catalog.
