Paul Hastings LLP is advising Primary Wave, a private music publishing company and investment management firm, in a strategic partnership with Brookfield Asset Management valued in excess of $2 billion.

Brookfield will acquire a significant minority interest in Primary Wave together with leading entertainment and sports agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA), who will join Oaktree Capital Management as strategic partners in Primary Wave. In addition, affiliates of Brookfield will provide $1.7 billion of capital commitments to a newly launched permanent capital investment vehicle that will acquire new music investments.
