Annual Employment Law Update & MCLE Conference

February 01, 2023

The Employment Law Practice

Providing six hours of programs over three days, our speakers discussed the most recent developments in labor and employment law and their implications for employers. Presentations included updates on new pay transparency laws and pay equity litigation; trends in environmental, social, and governance (ESG); NLRB developments for non-unionized and unionized employers alike; employment-related implications of increased anti-trust enforcement; and new cases on wage-and-hour, class actions, and PAGA representative actions.

Pay Equity and Transparency: 2023 and Beyond

Pay transparency was a hot legislative issue in 2022, a trend likely to continue into the new year. How will the new salary disclosure laws impact your business operations and pay equity litigation? This panel explored the new laws, pending legislation, and employer and litigation pay equity trends.

Furthermore, recent decisions regarding PAGA, including the Supreme Court’s decision in Viking River, have provided clarity (and also further questions) regarding topics such as arbitrability, manageability, preclusion, wavier, and settlement.
