August 01, 2023
LOS ANGELES – Paul Hastings today announced that leading white collar and investigations lawyer Adam Fee has joined the firm as a partner based in Los Angeles.
A former assistant U.S. attorney in the Southern District of New York’s Criminal Division who played leading roles in a variety of high-profile prosecutions, Fee represents major international banks, multinational corporations, financial technology companies, boards of directors, CEOs, and others facing government investigations and complex civil litigation, primarily in matters involving the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
“Adam’s reputation in white collar defense and investigations further elevates our exceptional litigation practice,” said firm Chair Frank Lopez. “His arrival reflects our commitment to premier talent to serve our clients on their most complex and important matters.”
Fee’s deep experience ranges across high-profile matters in a variety of areas. He has represented companies and individuals in matters involving the DOJ, SEC, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and various other government authorities, covering a broad array of subjects, including criminal insider trading and accounting fraud trials in New York and Los Angeles, crypto enforcement, extradition defense, FCPA, and cyber breach response.
“Paul Hastings offers the ability to both grow my practice and work with the firm’s exceptional lawyers to expand the firm’s overall offerings in California and around the world—it’s an opportunity that I just couldn’t pass up,” said Fee, who was listed in Benchmark Litigation’s “40 and Under Hot List” of the country’s most accomplished litigators under 40.
Joining from Milbank, Fee is the most recent prominent addition to the firm’s growing California presence. He follows entertainment and media lawyer Ken Deutsch and complex litigator Susan Leader, both of whom joined in Century City, and IP litigator Rudy Kim, who joined the firm’s Palo Alto office in May.
