Paul Hastings Advises EIG’s MidOcean Energy on Agreement to Acquire up to 50% Interest in Delfin FLNG2 Project

Paul Hastings LLP advised MidOcean Energy, an LNG company formed and managed by EIG, in a transaction with Delfin Midstream Inc., under which MidOcean Energy can acquire up to a 50% equity interest in, and receive a corresponding share of LNG production from, the second floating LNG vessel (FLNG2) forming part of the Delfin LNG export project offshore Louisiana. The deal is subject to a final investment decision and customary conditions precedent. Delfin and MidOcean are also collaborating on future pre-development activities to accelerate a potential third floating LNG vessel following FLNG2, reflecting the parties’ shared commitment to expanding Gulf Coast LNG supply to meet growing global demand.
