The American Bar Association 2012 Midyear Meeting  will be held February 1-7, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Paul Hastings partner Carla Walworth is a featured panelist on Friday, February 3, at 10:30 am to discuss Attorney Client Privilege and ESI: How to Maintain Privilege In the Cloud.Global electronic communication is easier than ever, but the attorney client privilege is not protected on a global basis. All lawyers have a duty to maintain client confidences as well as privileged information. The panel will present information on new and evolving technology used by lawyers and new challenges that technology can create in protecting confidential and privileged information. This panel also will present information on how evolving technology can affect the discoverability of communications traditionally privileged in the US, as well as practical tools to enhance protection of client confidences in an electronic age. The panel will practical insights for protecting privileged information in a global working environment.
