In June 2010, the Supreme Court issued its much-anticipated decision regarding subject matter patentability in Bilski v. Kappos. This session explores the state of Section 101 eight months post-Bilski, including how courts are approaching subject matter patentability in both the computer/electronics and biotech industries. The session also explores a unique international perspective on subject matter patentability, including the intersection between Section 101 andinternational treaties.
