With nearly US$18 billion spent on commercial property in Q3 2016, China officially overtook the United States to become the largest cross-border real estate investor. While values and volumes continue to grow, Chinese buyers are also becoming more discerning, with even the smaller players making increasingly sophisticated and ambitious acquisitions.

With more Chinese investors looking for opportunities overseas, real estate partners from Paul Hastings and a capital markets expert from Colliers International will explore outbound investment trends, evolving deal structures, and developing challenges that outbound investors can expect in 2017.
