Cross-border Nordic Compliance Seminar Series (Helsinki)

Paul Hastings, together with leading local law firm Roschier and our colleagues at Forensic Risk Alliance (FRA), will hold two half-day seminars on October 30th and November 6th in Helsinki, Finland and Stockholm, Sweden respectively.

This series aims to explore topical issues relating to international investigations, enforcement and compliance risks relevant to Nordic companies, geared toward in-house legal and compliance executives. Capitalizing on our unique partnership with Roschier, the premier law firm in the Nordic region, Paul Hastings partners Tom Best, Jonathan Drimmer and Matthew Herrington cement themselves as the go-to international legal counsel for companies operating in Northern Europe. Discussion will be led by recognized anti-corruption, international enforcement and compliance investigations practitioners on the front lines of dealing with these matters posing risks to their clients.

Topics covered will range from recent investigations by foreign authorities of Nordic companies and financial institutions, how compliance risks impact Nordic companies and financial institutions and their foreign subsidiaries and how to deal with these risks in practice. We’ll also discuss international enforcement expectations, evolving international enforcement risks and practical tips for preparing for and handling investigations from a Nordic perspective.

Tom Best, Jonathan Drimmer and Matthew Herrington from Paul Hastings, Derek Patterson, Tytti Saarinen and Viktor Josefsson from FRA as well as Roschier’s Ola Åhman, Johan Sidklev, Gisela Knuts, Annika Pynnä, and Laila Sivonen.
