Specific topics will include:- Benefits issues associated with contingent workers, including the Affordable Care Act, claims for employee benefits and equity, and strategies to mitigate the risk of claims. - What items are (and are not) taxable, or included in the regular rate of pay for overtime, including non-cash benefits or perks, tuition reimbursement, employee discounts, and other benefits.- Benefits aspects of wage and hour settlements, including implications for retroactive benefits, qualified retirement plans, and 401(k) plans.
