Media School: Analyst Training in Media and Communications
Media School is an intensive introduction to the world of finance in the media industry. Participants will start out learning the fundamental economics of the various businesses that make up the industry and then progresses into how to get and interpret financial data about those businesses to form judgments and opinions.
Media School also covers the nuances of credit and equity evaluation in the sector as well as the mechanics and state of capital markets. Building on that, students will learn the common metrics used to measure value and cost drivers in the industry as well as how to apply them with common valuation techniques.
The course wraps up with a case study of a real company within the industry. The overall goal of the course is to give participants who have been in their roles from 1-2 years a crystal clear view of the "big picture" so they can provide better information and analysis for their companies, clients, or investors.
