As a service to San Diego startup companies, CONNECT is partnering with select strategic advisor and professional services companies to provide entrepreneurs with an opportunity to meet privately and pro bono for professional advice.

Scott Oross is a partner in the Corporate practice of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s San Diego office. He represents both public and private companies in a number of different industries, including the information technology, life sciences and telecommunications industries, in a wide range of corporate transactions, including public and private offerings of equity and debt securities, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic collaborations. He also regularly advises boards of directors and management on a wide variety of strategic and corporate governance issues.

Todd Schneider is a senior associate in the Paul Hastings San Diego office, where his practice focuses on intellectual property and technology transactional matters. He routinely advises clients in merger and acquisition transactions involving intellectual property, and is experienced in intellectual property related secured lending transactions. Mr. Schneider also counsels clients in a wide array of commercial and licensing transactions, and regularly drafts and negotiates license, development, manufacture, and other agreements for clients in a broad range of industries. Mr. Schneider regularly prepares and prosecutes trademark applications, and has extensive patent prosecution experience, with an emphasis in the computer, electrical and mechanical arts. Mr. Schneider is a member of the State Bar of California and is admitted to practice at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
