On March 9, Inspector General June Gibbs Brown released an “Open Letter to the Healthcare Community” urging providers to self-disclose “improper conduct” and stating, again, OIG’s view that providers should come forward with disclosures of potentially illegal conduct in return for more lenient treatment.
