SEC Adopts New Rules Expanding Eligible Investments for Business Development Companies and Proposes Additional Rule Allowing Further Expansion

On October 25, 2006, the SEC adopted two new rules under the Investment Company Act of 1940 relating to business development companies. These new rules implement long-awaited changes to the definition of "eligible portfolio company."
