Paul Hastings Assists Taejon Christian International School Recover Stolen Funds
New York, NY/ Korea
- Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that the firm is assisting the Taejon Christian International School, a K-12 boarding school located in Daejeon, South Korea, on a pro bono basis to recover stolen funds.
On December 19, 2012, the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested William Cosme of Jericho, New York, and charged him with defrauding the school of over $2 million U.S. dollars. The FBI and the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York will seek to prove that Cosme, acting through a company known as Cosmo Dabi International Trading Group, Inc., stole the schools money under the guise that it was being invested. Cosme then allegedly used the money to fund his lavish lifestyle.
Mr. Cosmes arrest is a critical first step in our governments process to ensure that the public is protected, that justice is done, and that any money wrongfully taken from the school is returned, said
I look forward to a successful resolution of this matter for the school, said
