Paul Hastings Advises Transsion on HK$3.05 Billion Hong Kong IPO and Global Offering

Paul Hastings (Hong Kong) LLP advised Shenzhen Transsion Holdings Co. Ltd. on its approximately HK$3.05 billion (US$392 million) global offering and listing on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Paul Hastings also assisted Transsion (2636.HKEX) in drafting the prospectus for its global offering and listing.
Transsion is a global provider of smart devices and mobile Internet services, with a leading market position and strong brand recognition in Africa. In 2025, Transsion ranked first in both Africa and global emerging markets in terms of mobile phone sales volume. Transsion is also listed on the STAR Market of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (688036.SH).
Founding partner and chair of Greater China Raymond Li and partners Quan Zhou and Chongming Ma led the Paul Hastings team, which also included associate Irina He, senior China associate Jingyi Cao, senior legal manager Zhuxi Zhang, legal manager Gigi So, China associates Jill Zhao and Stanley Zhao, and China advisors Celia Chen, Ren Yang and Xing Wei. Director of Regulatory Affairs Wendy Hung provided support. Litigation partner John Tso, associate Zoey Xie and China associate Jinyang Tian advised on international trade controls matters.
Since 2026, Paul Hastings has successfully advised on seven significant IPOs in technology-related industries in China, including Direct Drive Tech (robotics technology company), Crealights (optoelectronic interconnection products provider), Creality (global consumer 3D printing product and service provider), Delton (customized printed circuit boards manufacturer), MeiG Smart (wireless communication modules and solutions provider), Keytop (smart parking space operator) and the current Transsion IPO. We acted as the issuer’s Hong Kong and U.S. counsel in six of these matters (all but Keytop’s), underscoring the firm’s broad experience and strength in advising technology companies on their listings.
