The Paul Hastings Latin America team and the Brazil Chapter of the International Section of the New York State Bar Association conducted a webinar to discuss liability management transactions from U.S. and Brazilian perspectives. The webinar focused on different types of liability management transactions that are designed to restructure debt securities, including open market purchases or privately negotiated transactions, tender offers, exchange offers and consent solicitations. With a view to these types of transactions becoming more popular and common as the markets continue to face disruption and uncertainty, the speakers explored key considerations for issuers and banks leading tender offers, exchange offers and consent solicitations.
