The State Council issued the Regulation on Notification Thresholds
of Concentration of Undertakings (the Regulation) on August 3, 2008.

The Regulation, together with Chinas new Anti-Monopoly Law (August 2007) (the Anti-Monopoly Law), that became effective on August 1, 2008, represent the beginning of a new era in Chinas merger control regime.
