New San Francisco Law Mandates Paid Sick Leave for Illnesses of Employees and Family Members

On November 7, the voters of San Francisco adopted Proposition F, apparently the first law in the United States to require that employers in the private sector provide their employees with paid sick leave for absences due to the sickness of employees or their extended family members.
