SEC Announces New Policy on Cooperation

Recent speeches by Harvey Pitt, the new chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and by other top Commission officials seem to buttress the observations of several commentators that there is a new dawn at the SEC and a work with us attitude. One practitioner has even stated most likely with some irony that the agency has become kinder and gentler.
