London – Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, was named "Restructuring Team of the Year" at the 2018 British Legal Awards hosted by Legal Week on 29 November.
The award was based on the firm’s representation of leading clothing retailer New Look following its successful company voluntary arrangement (CVA), announced in March 2018. New Look is restructuring rents on a majority of its stores as part of an operational turnaround plan. The CVA identified 60 out of New Look’s nearly 600 stores in the UK for potential closure, along with six further sites which are sub-let to third parties. Paul Hastings’ leading restructuring and finance practices continue to receive recognition for their work, including being named "Finance Team of the Year" at The Lawyer Awards 2018, where the team was recognized particularly for work on the high-profile £700 million capital raising plan for the Co-operative Bank.
